Hey all, welcome to my Product Winner Blueprint review.
The course is created by Tristan Broughton, another figure on YouTube who does videos on eCommerce, sharing his experiences and techniques.
He mentioned that the course is where he shares all the good gems – that he doesn’t necessarily share in his content on YouTube
But are those extra content really worth the price tag? This is what this post is trying to find out..
By the way, I’m not associated with Product Winner Blueprint course at all, I’m not going to profit in any way if you decide to buy the course. So please know that this review is coming from a 3rd party view, giving an unbiased opinion.
So without further ado, let’s get to it!
|The Product Winner Blueprint Summary|
Product: Dropshipping/ eCommerce course
Founder: Tristan Broughton
Price: $297 + $27 order bump OR $497
Recommended: Sure, but…
Summary: Product Winner Blueprint is created by Tristan Broughton, an Australian YouTuber sharing tips and tricks on eCommerce. He has a rather huge following on his YouTube channel as well as a Facebook group.
It’s pretty similar to other dropshipping courses’ creators where they all mainly started off from YouTube. But what exactly unique about Product Winner Blueprint..?
Is this the last dropshipping course you’ll need? Let’s find out..
What Is Dropshipping?
Dropshipping is when you promote and sell a third party product without handling the product creation, inventory and shipping.
When an order comes into your store, instead of wrapping and shipping out the products, the wholesaler or supplier will be the one that does the fulfilment.
Therefore, you only really need to focus on the front end and making sure sales are coming in for you to get your “cut”.
The cut is the difference on the retail price minus the wholesale price. If you’d prefer to learn this more through a video and animation, you can watch the video below:
Now let’s see how the Product Winner Blueprint course can help you strategize and build your dropshipping business.
What Is Product Winner Blueprint?
He probably needs to update the sales page as we are now already in 2021. But that being said, Tristan is one of the eCommerce YouTubers out there who doesn’t show off their lifestyles or cars.
Which is a very refreshing take.
He mentioned that the course is with no fluff and it teaches users techniques that no other gurus are teaching.. but when I looked at what exactly he meant by this, they don’t look or seem as something really new..
Honestly, all the points he mentioned here are all being covered in any dropshipping courses. And when I took a look at the content, it’s not that unique, to be honest.. I will explain more on the content in the next few sections.
If you do take a look at the sales page, I know it’s full of good results and very high sales made by him and his students – but one thing you should really know with dropshipping is that, the business model has a very high cost.
Yes, they have very good sales but they didn’t share their profits now do they…
Worth mentioning here that I couldn’t find or see any activity from Tristan Broughton for the past year. Not on YouTube nor on his Instagram. A bit of red flag.
What Makes Product Winner Blueprint Unique?
Tristan did mention that his course’s content will be very unique as no other gurus out there actually taught any of it. He figured the strategies out and he’s sharing the journey in his course.
So basically you are paying for his blueprint to get to where he is now with his store.
I don’t think that the course he teaches is something new – you can definitely find any dropshipping questions answered on YouTube or in any blog out there on the internet.
But you are getting his “tricks” when you get the course.
I really want the course to be something unique because he does seem like a nice guy who knows what he’s talking about but I just can’t.

I personally haven’t taken a look at his Google Ads Ecom Academy Course so I won’t say much on this.
But if you do have a budget of AT LEAST $2,500 to start a dropshipping business, then yes perhaps you can opt for the Ultimate Ecom Bundle.
What’s In Product Winner Blueprint?
Module 1: Store Setup
Contrary to other dropshipping courses out there who put the first module to be for mindset and niche education, PWB jumps straight to store creation.
I personally like it when any make-money-online course teaches you on how to get your mindset straight first – but that’s just me.
Anyway, the reason Tristan didn’t elaborate much on the niche side, I believe is because he actually recommends to build a general store first before niching down.
If you’re a beginner to Shopify and this is your first time building a store, then you’ll appreciate this module as he goes through step-by-step with you on how to get the theme, set your product pages as well as pricing your products.
He also doesn’t run the typical “free product + shipping” trick for good reasons. I too, don’t believe in that trick anymore.
Module 2: Winning Product Research
This is basically where you will learn how to research products that you will be selling in your stores. He teaches you a lot of techniques that should be valuable to you. But upon taking a glance at what he teaches, I just don’t think it’s something new.
A lot of the techniques you can find on YouTube, you just have to do research and watch different techniques from different “gurus”. This is how I used to do it, a lot of YouTubers have their own tricks and you can learn a lot just by listening to them.
But, you are going to learn a few methods that Tristan uses here including what products for you to stay away from, spying on your competitors via Facebook and Google.
Module 3: Facebook Pixel
This is a good module if you’re a beginner in Facebook Ad Account creation or Facebook Business Manager in general.
Honestly, this is the part where Tristan should update frequently because Facebook just keeps on updating this part, every year if not every month.
Trust me, I still freelance as Facebook Ads specialist and the interface and updates change multiple times a year.
And with the upcoming iOS update, it’s more important than ever for Tristan to update this part. The pixel and tracking are undergoing MAJOR changes in early 2021.
Module 4: Facebook Ad Targeting
Audience is one of the most important parts – if not THE most important part when running Facebook Ads. And you can learn from Tristan here on how to find those audiences when you’re just starting out.
If you’re a beginner, this might be very valuable to you but funnily enough, based on my experience, the more you let Facebook optimize and find the right audience for you, the more profitable your campaign is.
Module 5: Facebook Ad Testing
One of the parts that I really don’t like about dropshipping is when you need to keep on testing products. And when you’re just starting out and don’t know what products will become profitable, you would want to run some ads (with small budget) to test waters.
If your products are getting good engagement, then that’s probably the products you should go with.
I personally don’t like the PPE technique almost all dropshippers do because those are not the audience that will buy.
So even though you got your “winning” products from PPE campaigns, it doesn’t necessarily mean they will do well with conversion campaigns.
Remember: Vanity metrics don’t equate conversions.
Module 6: Facebook Ad Scaling
Scaling Facebook Ads is pretty important once you have your “winning” products.
It’s always very tricky to do so and it’s good that you will learn this in the course. But other dropshipping courses also teach you this trick – by the way.
Or, you can also just hop on YouTube and learn the different techniques that Facebook Ads specialists do to scale their campaigns. This is still something that I do and I learn a lot from multiple channels. I keep on testing different techniques on scaling and stick to something that works.
But, I can tell you now that one scaling technique doesn’t necessarily fit all. I’ve tested many ways and at times one technique fits one store more than the other.
Module 7: Facebook Ad Retargeting
This is a given to any business online. You always want to get your low hanging fruits and this is one way to do so.
I believe other dropshipping courses also teach this part. But with dropshipping or any physical eCommerce store, the best retargeting ads you should do is the Catalogue Sales.
Retargeting is something you never want to miss out on the table. It’s the easiest way for you to close on sales.
Module 8: AOV Scaling Secrets
There are a few tweaks and promos that you can do on your store to incentivize users to purchase more and as soon as possible.
If you have worked with any eCommerce stores before, AOV (average order value) is one of the metrics that you would want to increase without increasing your budget. It’s practically the cheapest way for you to increase your ROAS (return on advertising spend).
This will include upsell, cross sell and perhaps offering free shipping with orders above certain value.
Module 9: Email Marketing
I really like the fact that they include email marketing module in the course.
Many dropshippers look away from this – I did too when I was doing dropshipping before but email marketing and email follow ups have one of the highest conversion rate.
And it’s basically free for you to send those emails from your Shopify store.
So don’t miss out on this and really learn and focus on email marketing if you decide to go with a dropshipping business.
Module 10: Automation & Team Building
Some of the process in dropshipping should be automated and this is where you’ll learn how to do so. Just to note though, dropshipping business model can only be done semi-automated.
It’s not a 100% passive income generator as you still need to do some admin stuffs backend.
Yes, if your store is big enough, you can hire VAs to help you with your stores but there are still tasks you will need to do and monitor every other day if not everyday such as launching and monitoring your ad campaigns.
Is Product Winner Blueprint A Scam?
No, PWB is not a scam.
It is a legit dropshipping course that will teach you step-by-step on how to get started with dropshipping or eCommerce product.
The founder, Tristan Broughton does seem like a legit person teaching this course, even though he’s been MIA for about a year now.
He did mention on a video that he has an illness, I’m not sure whether he’s currently taking a break for his health.
What I Like About Product Winner Blueprint
1) Multiple Ways to Find Winning Product
He provides multiple different ways for you to research winning products. Even though I mentioned earlier that you could easily research for different ways to do in on YouTube, he packed everything up in a module.
What I DON’T Like About Product Winner Blueprint
1) Refund Policy
The refund policy….is a joke.
It’s very hard for a beginner to start and do everything in a week. What more if they have a full-time job.
Just testing the products on Facebook Ads will take about a week, so how can people have the time to see the results of their business within 7 days of purchasing…?
2) Nothing That Special
I don’t see anything that’s really special with the course, I do think there are other dropshipping courses out there that give almost the same value if not more at a much cheaper price.
Is Product Winner Blueprint Worth It?
1) Only When You Have Capital
Dropshipping is really NOT for someone who are strapped with money. There are so many other expenses that you will need to pay such as:
– Shopify hosting
– Domain name
– Transaction Fee
– Facebook Ads
– Instagram Influencer
– Additional paid apps on Shopify
So unless you have at least $2,500 to spare to start this business model, dropshipping unfortunately is not for you. You’ll be spending at least $2,000 to get started – and that won’t even guarantee any sales coming in.
2) Not The Best Business Model
As I’ve mentioned in 2021, dropshipping isn’t exactly the best business model out there. A lot of people already know the trick of “free product + shipping” and asking them to wait for 2-3 weeks for product delivery is a deal-breaker.
Put yourself in the customer shoe, will you go and buy a product from a store that will take 2-3 weeks to ship the products to you or you’d rather go to Amazon.com and get your products delivered the next day?
I’d go with Amazon.com. And that brings me to the next point.
Alternative To Make Money
After I left dropshipping, I found a better way to make money online that is a lot more passive and won’t need me to fork out so much capital when first starting out.
I really wish I’d found this sooner.
I switched from doing a dropshipping business to affiliate marketing.
– it was free for me to get started
– I don’t need to be running ads all the time
– my traffic is organic, therefore a lot more sustainable
– I don’t need to handle refunds or customer service
– it’s much easier for me to do with a 9-5 job
