If you’ve been thinking of joining one of Peng Joon’s courses but wondering “is Peng Joon legit” – well, welcome to my Peng Joon review!
I’ve been thinking of writing this review for a while now since one of my cousins actually paid a few thousands to attend one of his seminars.
And let me just say, as a third-party, I haven’t really been the most impressed with my cousin’s journey after attending the event.
It might be because of the person that my cousin is, but well, this is the purpose of this review – whether his course materials can actually help you to build your own empire.
And, whether you’re the right person for his course.
Before I continue with the review, a quick disclaimer – I’m by no means associated with Peng Joon nor any of his courses.
I’m not going to profit in any way, shape or form should you decide to join his courses.
So, anyway, without further ado, let’s get started!
Is Peng Joon legit? Here’s the truth…
Here’s an overview what I’ll discuss in this Peng Joon review:
- Who is Peng Joon?
- Peng Joon’s Courses Overview
- Is Peng Joon Legit? Can You Trust Him?
- Should You Get Any of His Courses?
- Easier & Better Alternative to Peng Joon’s Courses?
Fake Guru Red Flags
Before I start with my review of Peng Joon, I want to share the video below on how you can detect some of the red flags from internet marketing “gurus” out there.
The red flags don’t necessarily mean that they are all scams, but you might want to be careful with the courses that they offer.
Spoiler alert: Peng Joon does tick some of the red flags.
Who Is Peng Joon?
Peng Joon is an online entrepreneur from Malaysia. He has a pretty inspiring or rather interesting story – to which I honestly got inspired from.
Because not everyone of us has that drive.
He started off just like any of us, graduating from university with a hefty student loan and going for a stable job to start our adult working life.
In order for him to make more money to not only rely on his 9-5, he started selling a guide book on WoW (World of Warcraft) since he’s a WoW junkie back then.
The guide only made a sale after 7 months but that didn’t break Peng Joon’s spirit. He, later on, came up with another guide for Facebook’s popular online game – Farmville.
Unlike the WoW guide, Farmville guide actually exploded, and Peng Joon claimed he made $1.3million in 7 months. That’s pretty impressive.
That was probably the pivotal moment for Peng Joon to realize that packaging your knowledge and selling them, instead of trading your time for money might be the very way for people to break free from the usual 9-5 chain.
He now has claimed to create more than 500 websites and banking on them in the millions in less than 7 years. I’m sure he has his staff working on those websites now but it’s not impossible to achieve those numbers.
I first-hand know the potential of creating successful websites.
How Does Peng Joon Make Money?
Peng Joon has mastered the art of creating multiple passive income streams, from creating his books and guides, to creating more than 500 websites to selling his online courses.
He also hosts events that are priced in the thousands.
Peng Joon’s Courses Overview
Peng Joon has created multiple different online courses to help other budding entrepreneurs.
I’m not going to go through all of them in detail but I hope this overview will give you a bit more understand on what he’s selling.
1) Million Dollar Ads
Peng Joon is known to be very creative and successful with his ads and it’s just a given for him to create this course to teach others on how to do the same.
You will get over-the-shoulder lessons on how Peng Joon creates his ads and how profitable his advertising campaigns had been for him.
If you already have a business but not sure how to start creating ads, this could be beneficial to you.
This guide is only selling at $14.95 from his “original” price of $114.95. But if you do get an increment of $1,000 sales from implementing the tips, then he’s asking you to consider giving him “back” the $100.
2) Videos Challenge
If you’re looking to monetize through videos, like creating your own YouTube videos and want to make sales from there, then this course might be for you.
Or if you want to use video for your advertising strategies.
It’s a very niche course that only makes sense if you do want to take creating videos seriously.
This course is currently selling at $47.
3) Content Formula Multiplier
This is a course to learn on monetizing your content, make it from social media platforms or even your websites.
Peng Joon has created multiple different websites and knew how to create engaging materials – to which I don’t doubt his skills when it comes to creating content that converts.
This guide/book is for “free” but you will need to be paying for shipping and handling at $7.95 for the US or $14.95 international.
Do note that there are a few complaints from some people who are still waiting for the book after a few months of purchase.
Other courses from Peng Joon:
- Platform Closing
- Learn how to close sales from webinars or your own free YouTube videos.
- Free book with $7.95 or $14.95 shipping & handling fees.
- Event Codes
- Peng Joon makes tons of money hosting live events. If you want to know how to do the same, here’s the course.
- One payment of $1,997
- Internet Income Intensive
- How to create an internet business from scratch. It’s not that comprehensive in any way by the way.
- Free training (prepare for upsell)
- Facebook Secrets
- For people who are trying to find ways on how to be successful on Facebook including FB ads, FB groups, and pages.
- One payment of $997

- Free “LIVE” Webinar (prepare for upsell)
- It’s not live by the way.
Is Peng Joon Legit? Can You Trust Him?
First off, no, Peng Joon is a not a scam and he is a legit entrepreneur that sells his tips online.
Other than a few complaints from people who still haven’t received the books that they bought, you will still get the materials from the online courses that you buy from him.
Maybe just avoid buying the physical copy of his book.
Like many online or even offline courses out there, the content might not be for everyone.
And this is true to my cousin who had attended one of his seminars before, to which I’ll explain more in the next section.
Though I do like the fact that he mentioned to people that they will need to have the discipline to succeed, I don’t think it’s fair to promote the courses to complete beginners.
And promising that the courses can help anyone become an expert from a complete newbie.
This brings me to my next section.
So Should You Get Any of His Courses?
I do believe that some people will get value to what he’s teaching.
They are for people who already have an established business but just need to know a few things to help the business go further.
NOT for people who are still not sure how to start all these internet marketing things, like my cousin. She doesn’t have any idea on what to sell or what was her business idea so she couldn’t possibly implement many things that she’d learned.
I could see that she’d put herself out there on social media doing Facebook and Instagram LIVE but with no end game. She quit soon after.
Because basically there’s no game plan.
And that’s one big reason why I wouldn’t recommend any beginner to get his courses even though they are not the most expensive things in the world.
Speaking of not being expensive…
Prepare For The Upsells
Even though the guides and books are pretty affordable, those are just paid lead magnets. Once you get into the email funnels of his, you will be introduced to a more expensive (a lot more expensive) courses that he offers.
Remember than Peng Joon is king at story-telling so he knows how to hook you in.
If the course doesn’t make sense to you, including not having enough money to join his course, then by all means, you can unsubscribe from his email list in order to not be tempted again.
His other courses can range up to tens of thousands. Do your due diligent before investing your hard-earned money to his courses.
Here’s a list of who his courses are NOT for:
- People who love their 9-5.
- There’s absolutely no shame in loving your 9-5 job. If you are only looking for a side hustle, this course won’t be the best for you.
- People with no established business.
- If you still don’t have any business idea and still a beginner in this make-money-online world, there’s a better course out there.
Easier & Better Alternative to Peng Joon’s Courses?
When I was still in search of the one way for me to make money online get consistent passive income while still being in my 9-5, I started learning more about affiliate marketing.
Affiliate marketing is easy to start because you don’t need to have an established business idea, creating my own product or finding ways on how to sell them.
Any beginners can start because you’re just promoting products that you already love using while making commissions when someone buy from you (your websites/social media etc).
I found a course that is free to start and if I like it, it’s a lot more affordable and easier for me to take my hustle further.
The main point that got me hooked is that I can start for free as a beginner.
I don’t need to put down my credit card details. There’s literally ZERO payment that I have to make as a beginner.
I can stay as a free member as long as I would like in order to learn the basics.
Affiliate marketing might not sound as grand as having my own specific business, but it is a business that is still giving me income today from something I’ve built and haven’t touched in 3 years.
Can you see how sustainable that is?
I too, start as a total newbie with this venture and slowly but surely make my way and now have been earning consistently from my websites.

But just how much can you earn from affiliate marketing?
See how a stay-at-home-mum student from my #1 recommended training platform was able to make $2K from her new website with a new affiliate offer.
