Hey all, welcome to my John Crestani review.
If you’re here, I’m pretty sure you might have seen John’s ads on his free webinar or you’re currently contemplating whether to grab his famous course, Super Affiliate System (SAS).
Or, if you’re like me, you’re just wondering if he’s the guy to listen to when it comes to affiliate marketing.
Nevertheless, my objective of this review is to simply share what I’ve found about John Crestani, whether he’s legit or not and whether it’s worth it for you to get his course.
Now before I get started with this post, a quick disclaimer that I’m not an affiliate of any of his courses, therefore I’m really not getting any profit or kickbacks should you decide to join his course.
I’m just sharing my opinion of him as a non-affiliate, as someone who’s been doing affiliate marketing for a few years now.
Anyway, without further ado, let’s get started!
Is John Crestani legit? Here’s the truth…

Fake Guru Red Flags
Before I start with my review ofJohn Crestani, I want to share the video below on how you can detect some red flags from online “gurus” out there.
The red flags don’t necessarily mean that they are all scams, but you might want to be careful with the courses that they offer.
Who Is John Crestani?
When I first knew of John Crestani, nothing actually stands out about him that would make me think he’s a scam or anything of the sort.
Previously, probably a year ago now when I was watching his YouTube videos, he did seem like a funny, more straightforward kinda guy on YouTube sharing his tips about online and affiliate marketing.
And I think that’s one reason he’s gotten a very strong fan base, or rather subscribers base on YouTube with more than 470,000 of them.
But, now that I took upon the baton to look more into him, I did find something that wouldn’t really sit well with me on how he sells or conducts his online marketing business, particularly with his online course – which I’ll dwell more on in the next section.
Like many almost copy-paste templates of nowadays internet entrepreneur, John Crestani was lost in his life and then found his entrepreneurship vision after reading the famous “4 Hour Work Week” book by Tim Ferris.
He learned his internet marketing skills from working in a digital marketing agency in Los Angeles which didn’t last very long as he got fired from stop giving his best after not getting the pay raise that he was asking for.
John then got more successful with his affiliate marketing business that continuously grows year after year.
Now with each website and video I went to, to search for his current income or sales made each year, the numbers differ pretty greatly from $2.6 million to $5 million a year in 2016.
And it’s getting even harder to find his current net worth in 2021.
I don’t doubt that he’s still doing great with his affiliate marketing business but I’m guessing he’s also making big money with his high-ticket online course.

Onto the next section, let’s take a look at John’s famous affiliate marketing course.
John Crestani’s Super Affiliate System Review
Super Affiliate System or SAS is a pretty well-known and famous course when it comes to affiliate marketing.
The “original” price claimed to be $4,995 but with a “special” discount, you’ll get the course at “only” $997.
Which to me, is still a pretty steep price for a beginner to start with.
Plus, you’ll still need to spare more money to start running ads.
Anyway, SAS is an affiliate marketing course that claims to teach you to make money overnight or in 6 weeks – John also showed some testimonials on this.
But many of them are actually students who promote the very same course.
Now the SAS course is definitely a legit system and a decent course for someone to learn how to excel in affiliate marketing USING paid ads.
And with the course, you will get a few templates that that John has provided within the course.
That said, I do have several reservations on SAS:
1) Pyramid Scheme?
Ok SAS course isn’t exactly a pyramid scheme but many of the templates and teachings given in the training are pointing towards promoting the exact same course.
You can definitely promote other products that you like too but the course actually encourages you to promote SAS.
This is almost the same with Wealthy Affiliate, but the main difference is that with Wealthy Affiliate, it is completely different training for you to take if you would like to learn more on how to promote the make-money-online niche and the course itself.
The main training that they are giving is actually for you to promote other products that you like from other affiliate networks.
Also, Wealthy Affiliate is free for you to start and join, whereas SAS is priced at $997. So…..yes, moving on…
2) Refund Policy
The course claims to have 30 days money back guarantee.
But.. it seems that many actually have a pretty rough time to get the money back.
In a nutshell, if you want to get your money back, you have to complete the whole program setting up your website, and spending more money running ads.
3) Mainly Focusing on Paid Ads
This course claims to be suitable for beginners even ones with no skills in tech and no idea how digital marketing works.
But instead of focusing on a more beginner-friendly training with organic traffic, students need to learn how to set up paid ads.
There are lessons on getting organic traffic though they aren’t necessarily focusing on SEO which is a lot better for long-term success.
Now, this is one of the ways to get money fast with affiliate marketing BUT it’s extremely hit and miss even with advanced affiliate marketers.
4) Price & Additional Payments
I’m not a fan of the price especially when it’s promoted to beginners with a promise of making a quick buck.
There are definitely better affiliate marketing courses out there with cheaper price that you can take.
On top of the $997 price, you will also be needing a couple of thousands to spare to run the ads.
As well as some software and tools that you need to pay monthly subscription to like Clickfunnels.
5) Stealing Email List?
John gave the list of email addresses for users who have bought the SAS course for you to upload on Facebook and create a lookalike audience for your ads that promote SAS (obviously…).
Even though you are not directly spamming them, it is highly unethical for John to share the email addresses (YOUR email address) out for other students to use.
He might got away with this on a fine print, but still…
I’m not sure about you but I do not want any third-party (not a website that I subscribe to) to be getting my email address and use it for ads.
Is John Crestani Legit? Should You Trust Him?
No, John Crestani isn’t really an outright scam.
But the more I look into it, you do need to think and filter out some information that you’re getting from him because not a lot of them are “ethical”.
When you watch his YouTube videos for tips to get more affiliate sales or particularly in driving traffic, and he mentioned to drop your affiliate links or review posts on Facebook pages or groups or other people’s blogs or YouTube comments, do know that they constitute as spamming and not something you’d want to do.
If you are looking to make a quick buck with the kind of business that is probably not going to last very long, then by all means, John’s system can work for you.
To me though, I’m someone who likes to build an asset like this very website, without running paid ads nor spending more money, that can still give me consistent income in the next 10 years of my life.
Simply because I’m not pulling any weird or questionable tricks here or even recommending courses or products that I’ve never used or believed in.
Also, I’m not saying that John is still pulling shady tricks like back when he was still in school and his eBay venture, but just knowing that he used to do them, doesn’t give me much confidence to follow him anymore.
Here are some of the things that I look at when deciding to join an affiliate marketing course:
- Founders must have at least a decade of experience in affiliate marketing
- No wild claims of getting rich overnight
- Affordable for beginners to join
- Emphasis on organic traffic instead of paid ads
- No black or grey hat teaching (I want my business to last!)
- Great community to learn from & be accountable with
That brings me to the next section.
