If you haven’t heard of Sara Finance, she’s a new and upcoming YouTuber, influencer and dropshipping “guru” out there. I have seen her videos multiple times popping up on my YouTube feed but had never really gave them a watch… until a few days ago.
I must say that her YouTube videos’ titles seem a bit clickbaity to me so that’s why I had been avoiding them for so long.
Well, now no more.
After watching her several videos, I realized that she has a dropshipping course on her own and it’s pretty different than the other dropshipping courses I’ve reviewed so far.
But whether or not it’s a good thing, is something that I will want to find out today.

Is Sara Finance a scam? Here’s the truth..

Summary: Sara Finance’s Dropshipping Business Course is a mixed of dropshipping and a business course (in Sara’s own words) that can help you or any beginners out there to start their Shopify dropshipping business.
She has included some variety of different traffic tactics that you can do in the course as well as some business basics that new entrepreneurs need to know.
With Sara’s young age and the cost of this course, is it truly worth it? Let’s figure it out together.
What Is Dropshipping?
Dropshipping is when you promote and sell a third-party product without handling the product creation, inventory and shipping.
When an order comes into your store, instead of wrapping and shipping out the products, the wholesaler or supplier will be the one that does the fulfilment.
Therefore, you only really need to focus on the front end and making sure sales are coming in for you to get your “cut”.
The cut is the difference on the retail price minus the wholesale price. If you’d prefer to learn this more through a video and animation, you can watch the video below:
Important to note: Please don’t get misled with screenshots of sales that these “gurus” are making. Those are sales numbers. It’s typical for dropshipping businesses to only take home 1-20% from the sales.
What Is Dropshipping Business Course by Sara Finance?
Like many other dropshipping course out there, Sara Finance Dropshipping Business Course will teach any beginners out there to start their own dropshipping store.
You can still join the course even if you’ve already had your store because she will teach a few different traffic tactics that many courses actually left out.
But before we dive into the course, let’s just take a look at who exactly is Sara Finance.
Who Is Sara Finance?
I’m quite sure Sara Finance is not her real name.
Sara might be, but Finance is not. I can’t find this info anywhere though, so if you do think I’m wrong here, please feel free to correct me in the comment section below.
Anyway, Sara is now 19 years old living in Canada and found her ways of making money by dropshipping and actively invest in stock market. I’ll do another review on her stock market course but for today’s post, we’ll be only touching on her dropshipping course.
Sara started working at Tim Horton’s to save money for her to become a pilot but later realized that she didn’t like the job and the job isn’t going to cut it anymore – we can all feel her here.
Then she started trying out dropshipping but didn’t make any good money for the first year. After her first year, she decided to make another Shopify store and that store has actually been making money and she ended up making a profit of $60,000. At least, this is what she claims.
After a while, with all the money she had profited and saved from her dropshipping business, she started investing in the stock market and had made a good amount of money after a couple of years.

I’m not going to lie, the store does seem inspiring and I’m happy that she has made her break.
But I’m not going to dismiss the fact of her age, simply because as a student, we do want to learn from people who have had at least 5 to 10 years in the industry to really understand every side of a business.
And at age 19, Sara is at a disadvantage here.
That said, Sara does have an advantage of being a Gen Z and can offer a refreshing side and take of the business.
So, in order to really weigh whether or not this cost is for you and whether the $297 price tag is worth it, let’s see what makes this course unique.
What Makes Dropshipping Business Course Unique?
This course is really unique because it teaches you on how to expand your traffic strategy and how you can do it organically. That doesn’t mean Sara is not doing any paid advertisement though, because she does.
1) TikTok Influencer
While a lot of the other courses talking about Instagram influencers, Sara is big on advertising with influencers on Tik Tok. If you’re not sure how to use TikTok and make it work for your store, well this is something that you can learn from the course.
2) Business Side Of Things
Some courses do touch on this part but definitely not all of them. In the course Sara does go through over finding the best credit cards to use for your business, paying taxes as well as what to do with PayPal holds.
I have encountered several PayPal holds before when I was still doing dropshipping and if you can, this is something you want to avoid.
How Much Does Dropshipping Business Course Cost?
The course costs $297.99 with no additional upsell that you can take.
That said, it won’t be the only thing you will need to pay for when you are starting a dropshipping business because there will be a lot more apps and software that you will need to pay in a MONTHLY basis.
Worth mentioning here that Sara doesn’t give any refund policy. All sales are final. So do your due diligence before deciding to get her course.
I’m personally not a fan of no-refund policy especially that most dropshipping courses out there do offer action-based money back guarantee.
What’s In Sara Finance Dropshipping Business Course?
Finding Winning Products
This is where you’ll be learning how to find your winning products – which dropshipping is all about it. I got to say that I’m pretty impressed with her ways of finding trending products. Definitely something I haven’t tried before.
Finding suppliers usually isn’t the hardest part, though you do need to find one that ticks all the checklist.
Sara also shares how to get suppliers that won’t take weeks for the products to reach your customers.
Building Your Shopify Stores
A must-have for any dropshipping course.
This is where you will learn how to set up your store from the ground up and making sure it’s all equipped with the necessary apps.
Getting Traffic To Your Store
Other courses will usually focus on Facebook Ads and Instagram influencers.
But for Sara’s Dropshipping Business Course, she extended the traffic lessons to TikTok influencers as well as Pinterest.
I’m sure you can learn a thing or two that are new here.
Email Marketing Strategy
Basically how to set up your abandoned carts and making sure you are taking care of your list.
Processing Fulfilment/Admin Tasks
So now that you have sales coming in, it’s time for you to learn how to fulfil those orders and share the shipping tracking code.
This will be automated with apps that Sara is going to show you.
You’ll also learn how to manage any product returns or refunds – usually not the best part but it happens. That’s why it’s best to find a good product from a good supplier.
Once your business is starting to grow, Sara shares what you need to do when it comes to choosing a credit card to pay for all those fulfilment (usually you want to find a credit card that can give you travel miles etc) as well as what you need to know when it comes to managing your business’s finances.
This by no means very in-depth but it’s still good enough for beginners.
What I Like About Dropshipping Business Course
1) New Fresh Ideas
As I mentioned, she does give her TikTok strategy in the course and there isn’t any other course out there sharing this.
That said, it might be a slower learning curve for you if you never had any experience with TikTok because the platform CAN be really confusing if you’re just starting out.
But if you’ve been a superstar on TikTok, this will come extremely easy for you.
2) Answering The Famous-but-not-talked-about Question: Should you open a new store?
I don’t think people get their success with dropshipping with their first dropshipping store. This is also one part of dropshipping that I don’t like, but, anyway.
If you’ve been thinking that your current store isn’t making any money and you want to create another store, you might want to listen to Sara – because she also created multiple stores to get some success.
What I DON’T Like About Dropshipping Business Course
1) No Community or Extra Support
Contrary to many, many dropshipping courses out there, Sara’s course might be the only one that doesn’t even offer a private Facebook group.
And having a community when you’re just first starting out is CRUCIAL. This is absolutely a must so that you have a bit of support – because let’s face it, not many family members and friends will understand how we make money online.
So by having a community and a place where you can also ask around on your problems, is really important to get started as a beginner.
Needless to say, I was extremely shocked to know she didn’t offer any after-service support..
2) No Refund Policy
Not only the course doesn’t have any community support, there is also zero refund policy.
Sara mentioned that the course is an intellectual property and can’t be unlearned, which sure, I understand but if your course is reallyyyyy amazing, you shouldn’t worry your students not liking the course…right?
3) Good For Beginners NOT To Scale A Business
The course is beginner friendly but once you’ve started getting more sales and profits, you will need to venture out to another business course.
Because there are other things that you will need to consider to scale your business like having a proper project management tool with your team. And speaking of team, you will also need to learn how to start outsourcing many daily tasks.
Is Dropshipping Business Course A Scam?
No, Dropshipping Business Course by Sara Finance is not a scam.
You will still get all the lessons you pay for – it’s just the matter if it’s worth your buck.
Personally, I do think there are things that you can learn from Sara especially that she had found success in dropshipping with her own creative ways, which she did lay them all out in the course.
Even if you don’t buy her course, you can still go through her YouTube videos because she did share some tricks that you can apply to your own dropshipping store – like how she advertised with influencers on TikTok. Yes, she covered that on YouTube, but of course not in detail.
I do hope that Sara will not be like other gurus who have turned to making money solely by selling courses and actually still be making money with her store and other means of income.
Even when she’s almost 10 years younger than me, I do find her success inspiring and try to reflect back on my journey. To be honest, watching her video made me thinking of going back to dropshipping LOL…
But I know that I’m not going back to dropshipping, permanently, because of a few things that I’ll explain more below.
Is Dropshipping Still Worth It?
I know that eCommerce is still growing year by year, especially now that many of us are stuck inside the house, eCommerce has truly changed the game for us.
That said, it doesn’t mean many solo stores like dropshipping can thrive under this eCommerce boom simply because there are giants in the industry like Amazon that can guarantee shipping time and offer a lot more variety within a single receipt.
Here are 3 reasons why I no longer think dropshipping busines is still worth it:
1) Only When You Have Capital
Dropshipping is really NOT for someone who are strapped with money. There are so many other expenses that you will need to pay such as:
– Shopify hosting
– Domain name
– Transaction Fee
– Facebook Ads
– Instagram Influencer
– Additional paid apps
So unless you have AT LEAST $2,500 to spare to start this business model, dropshipping unfortunately is not for you. You’ll be spending at least $2,000 to get started with Facebook Ads – and that won’t even guarantee any sales coming in.
2) Vicious Cycle
If you argue that you will be able to take home $2,000/mo if you get to make $10,000/mo, I’m sorry to break it down to you but that $2,000 will need to be re-invested to find another winning product and be spent for Facebook Ads testing.
This is one of the biggest reasons I quit dropshipping.
A lot of beginners are not aware of this vicious, vicious cycle.
3) Not The Best Business Model
As I’ve mentioned in 2021, dropshipping isn’t exactly the best business model out there. A lot of people already know the trick of “free product + shipping” and asking them to wait for 2-3 weeks for product delivery is a deal-breaker.
Put yourself in the customer shoe, will you go and buy a product from a store that will take 2-3 weeks to ship the products to you or you’d rather go to Amazon.com and get your products delivered the next day?
I’d go with Amazon.com. And that brings me to the next point.
A Better Way To Make Money
After I left dropshipping, I found a better way to make money online that is a lot more passive and won’t need me to fork out so much capital when first starting out.
I really wish I’d found this sooner.
I switched from doing a dropshipping business to affiliate marketing.

- I don’t need to be running ads all the time
- my traffic is organic, therefore a lot more sustainable
- I don’t need to handle refunds or customer service
- it’s much easier for me to do with a 9-5 job
